There are several factors that contribute to your hero's battle readiness and power level. Every time you level up your hero, they get stronger. Ascending their rank makes them stronger. Adding equipment will increase various stats as well as basic power. The following terms will help you understand the stats for heroes, equipment, skills, and more as you battle your way through Undead World: Hero Survival.
HP: Health Points. When a hero reaches 0 HP, they will die.
SP: Skill Points. Used to power up those sweet, sweet Ultimate Skills.
ATK Power: Attack Power. That's how strong a hero's attack is before applying any buffs or skills.
DEF: Defense. The higher the number, the less damage the hero will receive from enemy attacks.
ACC: Accuracy measures the likelihood of hitting the target.
EVA: Evasion is about dodging incoming attacks.
CRT Rate: Critical Rate. This is your likelihood of making those super-satisfying critical strikes.
CRT DMG: Critical Damage. The higher the number, the greater the damage inflicted when performing critical strikes.
ATK Speed: Attack Speed. Lightning-fast reflexes are the difference between life and death when surrounded by zombies.
MOV Speed: Movement Speed. Of course, the ability to get from here to way over there when zombies are swarming is also key.
HP Rec: Health Points Recovery. When you're injured, your HP starts going down. This stat is how quickly it will go back up during the battle to keep a hero in the fight.
SP Gain: Skill Points Gain. You want to keep those skills firing! Increased SP Gain makes them happen faster and more frequently.
Bonus DMG: Bonus Damage. Pretty simple, really. It's a bonus on your damage, added to your ATK Power. It sometimes shows as a straight number, sometimes as a percentage, adding either a set amount or an increased percentage based on your total.
DMG reduction: Damage Reduction. This stat doesn't apply to the hero themselves, it factors as a debuff on the enemy's ATK Power. It can appear as a number or a percentage, either subtracting a firm number from their attack or decreasing it by a percentage based on their total.
Pierce: Piercing damage bypasses the enemy's defense.
Shield: A shield's stat is the amount of damage it will take before collapsing.
Life Steal: This effect takes the damage you do to an enemy and directly converts it into HP for you. In a world of zombies, go ahead and be a vampire from time to time.
Stagger: This basic debuff effect cancels any actions that were in progress.
Stun: This effect leaves the victim temporarily unable to move or use skills.
Shock: Similar to Stun.
Knockback: Knocks the victim back and cancels actions.
Launch: Launches the victim back and sends them into the air.
Slam: Sends the victim a short distance and into the air.
Airborne: Sends the victim flying.
Pull: Forces the victim to a new destination on the battle field.
Taunt: Taunting forces the target to turn their attention to you, diverting them from any actions they were taking/about to take.
Silence: This effect prevents special skills from being used, though basic attacks can still be carried out.
Fear: This effect compels the victim to flee.
RES: Resistance is basic resistance against adverse effects. There are many more specific forms of resistance that offer even greater protection:
- CRT RES: Critical Resistance is your resistance against critical strikes.
- INCAP RES: Resistance to Incapacitating Effects such as Stun or Knockback.
- DEB RES: Resistance against Debuffs.
- CC RES: Resistance against Crowd Control Effects such as Stun or Fear.
You will also encounter stats that add Resistance against specific effects and debuffs on an individual basis, such as FALL RES (Resistance to Falldown effects) or AIR RES (Resistance against Airborne effects). Beyond resistance, some stats will even confer outright immunity to specific effects, for instance:
- STUN IMM: Immunity to Stun effects
- DMG IMM: Immunity against damage
There is even immunity against death (DEATH IMM), and immunity to various effects, positive and negative. HEAL IMM (Immunity to healing effects) will prevent a hero from receiving the benefit of any healing effects; this could be part of a useful strategy in certain circumstances (some Midtown Tactics increase allies' power when a teammate dies, and that could be more valuable than that hero continuing to fight in their weakened state).
If you need help understanding any of the more detailed stats you encounter, our support team will be happy to help.
