How to report or block someone in the chat feature

In the in-game chat feature, you can interact with fellow players and get to know each other a little. There is no official Undead World representative interacting in the chat. While we do have automated systems in place to try to prevent some negative actions, and we are working to improve those automated processes, we appreciate receiving reports from players to identify accounts that are spamming, harassing, or attempting to defraud other players in any way. When our team receives reports, they review the text of the reported post and take appropriate action.

How to Report in Chat:

Press and hold on the chat entry that you want to report. Two buttons will appear: REPORT and COPY. 

Tap REPORT, then enter a brief description of what you think is wrong, such as spam, phishing attempt, harassment, bigotry, etc. At the bottom of the text box, tap REPORT again to send the report to our team (or CANCEL if you have changed your mind).

How to Block in Chat:

If you wish to simply stop seeing messages from a particular user, tap on their profile icon beside any message they have entered in the chat. Their profile will open, and in the lower right corner, you will see the options to BLOCK, ADD (as friend), or MESSAGE. 

Tap BLOCK to stop seeing their chat entries and to prevent that user from being able to contact or friend you in the game.

General Chat Safety:

We want all our players to stay safe. We will continue improving on our automated security measures, but no matter how much we are able to automate, spammers and scammers will always keep trying. So please keep the following things in mind at all times:

1. We are never active in the chat. Any account posing as "official" or "admin" is fraudulent.
2. We do not post freebies in the chat. Any account claiming to offer free Undead World resources is fraudulent.
3. Never share your personal information in any online forum, and never trust anyone who asks you to do so.
4. Never follow a link posted in chat. That is a common method of trying to get people to install malware.

Finally, please note that we have an official Undead World Discord server where you can also chat with other players and where we do have an official presence!
